My mail and webserver is in a tricky state. I have a good, robust server that has run my mail and web services for a little while. But then I needed to upgrade, so I moved the services to a really old IBM machine. That was an old desktop with a big hard disk added. It's powerful enough to run mail and web on, so obviously my needs are not great. It's been running a year with the mail and web services on it, and I haven't had the incentive to move it all back. Tonight I kept hearing a growling sound coming from my rack, and eventually took notice of it and listened closer, and discovered that something inside the IBM server is making that noise. I bet it's the hard disk. Oh well, I have all the incentive I need now to move everything back to the Dell server.
Only problem is, I made serious changes to the way I installed Majordomo, my mailing list manager, and I have modified the code a little. Stupidly, I didn't make any notes.
